What is included in an operation?
The listed price is the advertised x402 payment for that operation. Checkpoint retrieval is charged separately from save. Existing limits and retention apply; handoff and recovery expiry cannot outlive their source checkpoint.
What about retries and lock contention?
Exact-key retries can replay the stored result without another settlement. A lock acquisition attempt is charged even when another agent already holds the key. Inspect the returned acquired value before acting.
Are any protected operations free?
Handoff retrieval, lock release and recovery heartbeats have no additional operation fee. They still require wallet authorization and an idempotency key. Public health, pricing, capabilities, OpenAPI and machine documentation are free.
Why is there a minimum operation price?
Prices are intentionally above an estimated facilitator settlement cost so low-value actions remain economically viable. Provider rates can change; the estimate is a planning input, not a guaranteed fee or a margin promise.
